2023 Cleveland Marathon - Sunday, May 21st 2023
In classic Winston fashion I skipped my college graduation to run this marathon. If only I had kept the engineering going I could've ran it in the AM and walked across the stage at 1PM... I hit the wall at mile 16 in Ohio City. A lone watcher from his balcony called out to me after I started to walk, limping. I said I couldn't run anymore, he gave me the ultimatum that there is only one way out. I just had to keep going. My glycogen levels were too low, I did not fuel the morning of nor the night before properly. Dave caught me at Edgewater Beach at mile 20. Thank god he was there because that last 10k he brought me home. 2022 Cleveland Marathon - Monday, May 23rd 2022
My first marathon I was ill prepared... I remember Dave told me to just take a few painkillers throughout the race. Stuffs a blood thinner tho! The longest I ran before this was only the half marathon distance and safe to say I was toasted after that. EBoard came to cheer me on at the end. I remember I had excruciating hip flexor pain after this race -- keep the warrior 1 poses coming Post-race commentary |

2023 Baystate Half Marathon -- Sunday, October 15th 2023
Huge PR set! This route consisted of running two loops around the Merrimack River on the campus of UMass Lowell. Glad to have returned to my old stomping grounds. Honestly living there for the summer was kind of a joke. I'm definitely in the running for best pictures during a race. Always there to have a good time 2022 Verona Half Marathon -- Sunday, November 20, 2022
Net Time 1:27:18 205/2270 runners CIAO!!!!! Kam is an international runner, look at that. The hurdles I had to endure to sign up for this race is incredulous. Italian bureaucracy could not get the best of me. I had to schedule a physical appointment in Trastevere, go to a pharmacy to buy a pee cup, pee in that said pee cup, trek up that god awful hill above the tunnel next to the Vatican, find the hospital to drop off pee cup, and sign up for a Runcard. FORZA FORZA Kam!!! 2022 Disney Half Marathon (World Marathon Weekend) -- Saturday, January 9, 2022
1:39:03 Net Time 184/12701 runners Ran in On Cloudswifts bought the day before. Major blisters! Took some fun pictures with the characters 2021 Cleveland Half Marathon -- Sunday, October 24, 2021
1:28:26 Net Time 36/1825 runners First time running under 1hr 30min! Super proud of myself and pushed hard. First time running the Cleveland downtown race so it was preparation for me for the full marathon course. Still not a big fan of the bridges running-wise but really neat running on the highway to go from East-to-West 2019 Disney Half Marathon (World Marathon Weekend) -- Saturday, January 12, 2019
1:45:53 Net Time 582/18419 runners I was surprised I was able to sign up for this race initially! Rran through Magic Kingdom and Epcot :) This was during my hyper-naive amateur racing days. I wore normal On Clouds that are for daily wear not 13.1 miles of pure racing. Five Points of Life Half Marathon -- Sunday, February 18, 2018
Net Time: 1:57:53 Inspired by my Princeton Interviewer when I was applying to colleges. Hard race, first time I had run such a distance. The furthest I had run was an 8 mile long run. Overall it averaged out to be a 9:00min/mile pace. My goal was under 2 hours and I did it! This race was what started it all. Impressed how with such motivation and willpower I signed up for this race, drove to Gainesville, and ran it all by myself. I was 17 and a half then! |

BAA Boston 10k -- Sunday, June 23, 2024
Dunno why I ran this on a busted knee and still managed a good time ahha! Waaaaay too many people at these BAA races too. Note for next time: actually start at the front because a ton of people in the back are there for a reason. No matter how much I love bobbing and weaving through crowds, this experience made me realized that it becomes tedious and taxing. The rain made it very exciting!! I rode my bike to this race. The extra milage did me in at the end. Arc'teryx run Boston 10k Trail Run in Blue Hills Reservation -- Sunday, Sept 24th 2023
Net Time: 49:48.3 5/50 runners Fast out the gate! This was my first trail race and I kept towards the front but behind the leaders. I must've gave too much space since me and this one woman got lost halfway through and ended up taking the skyline trail DOWNWARDS?? god that killed my knees. I really thought that I had a shot of winning until we got lost. I think I ended up in 5th place, besides, the top 3 times were way out of reach, no matter how on the path I could have been. This was fun nonetheless! I loved trying out my new running vest with the water pouches. 5K Cleveland Metroparks Zoo Earth Day -- Saturday, April 22, 2023
